since fixing my aunt and uncle’s computer at age 8, i have been interested in technology.

a self-described “tinker”, i enjoy merging science, technology, and the arts.

a life-long fan of computer and console games, in high school i began to explore video production and editing, leading to the discovery of the concept of free and open source software (FOSS). during the final two years of high school, I co-wrote, directed, acted in, and co-edited six short films; in college I completed around a dozen more (in addition to my more lengthy senior thesis), as well as several song recordings, foley captures/edits, and a number of graphic design projects.

in addition to media production, i have experience in IT support, website design and development, mobile application development, and game development.

i earned my associate’s degree in electronic media production from ozarks technical community college in 2010, as well as a bachelor’s in digital film production in 2012, a graduate certificate in screenwriting in 2014, and a master’s in communication in 2017, all from missouri state university. currently, i am working on an education specialist in career & technical education from the university of central missouri.
